Online Event & Workshop Terms & Conditions

1. Copyright and Use of Materials

  • All course and workshop materials provided are protected by copyright and remain the intellectual property of Clare Wilson of Treehouse Genealogy/Allied Air Force Research.

  • Where relevant Attendees are granted a personal, non-transferable license to access and use the materials solely for their own educational purposes.

  • The reproduction, distribution, modification, or sharing of any materials without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

  • All written reports and materials provided during 1-2-1 events, including but not limited to research summaries, genealogical reports, and any other written content, are the intellectual property of Treehouse Genealogy/Allied Air Force Research.  These materials are protected by copyright law. As such, you are not permitted to share, distribute, or post these reports on websites, social media, or any other public or private platforms without prior written consent from Clare Wilson.  By attending any 1-2-1 event, you agree to respect the copyright and confidentiality of the materials shared during the session.

2. Recording of Workshops & Events

We offer both Workshops & Events.  Workshops are defined as interactive group sessions, whereby attendees are encouraged to share their work, exchange ideas and provide constructive feedback in a supportive setting.   Events refer to a scheduled presentation or lecture delivered by a speaker or presenter on a specific topic. The event typically includes a structured presentation followed by a Question and Answer (Q&A) session.

  • By participating in interactive workshops, attendees agree to the session being recorded for the purpose of enabling others or themselves to access the recording for up to 30 days after the final event.

  • By signing up for a virtual ‘workshop’ you acknowledge and agree that the session will be recorded. Please note that opting to remain hidden may limit opportunities for active participation and interaction, which could affect the overall learning experience.  If you do not wish to be recorded, please do not register for these workshops. By completing your registration, you consent to being recorded.

  • Recorded sessions will be securely stored and will not be shared with third parties or used for purposes other than stated above.   These recordings may be stored in a password-protected area of the website to allow attendees who are unable to attend occasional events to catch up or those who wish to rewatch the sessions to do so.

  • Our ‘events’ will primarily consist of a presentation followed by a Q&A session.  By signing up for events, you acknowledge and agree that the session will be recorded.  During the presentation, attendees are requested to turn off their cameras and microphones.  Questions may be asked via the chat box or in person.  If a recording is being made this will be made available for a period thereafter and will be advised at the time of booking

3. Liability Disclaimer

  • Please note that unforeseen events such as broadband outages may occasionally result in the postponement of a session. In such cases, an additional date will be scheduled the week after the course is due to end to accommodate the missed session.
